Tree & Shrub Program Treatment Guide

Treatment # 1

Early Spring

This treatment uses Dormant Oil in the control of pests such as Scale, Spider Mites, and other over wintering insects and eggs.
Treatment # 2

Late Spring

This treatment utilizes fungicides and insecti-cides to control insects, such as Lacebugs and Tent Caterpillars, and to ward off various fungal diseases such as Powdery Mildew, Leaf Spot, Rust and Tip Blight.
Treatment # 3


In this visit we inspect trees and shrubs for signs of insect damage and fungal infection. In particular, we monitor for early summer pests such as Bagworms, Japanese Beetles, Lace-bugs, Spider Mites, Tent Caterpillars, Gypsy Moths and other fungal diseases.
Treatment # 4

Late Summer

During this visit we continue to monitor trees & shrubs for insects and disease. Late summer insects include: Fall Webworms, Lacebugs, Bagworms and many varieties of damaging caterpillars that are active during this period.
Treatment # 5

Early Fall

This treatment uses Dormant Oil plus other insecticides to control any Fall-time insects and to keep trees & shrubs clear of scale and over-wintering insect eggs.
Treatment # 6


This visit involves a deep-root fertilization of all ornamental trees and shrubs on your property. This will provide health and nutrition for plant material throughout the coming winter and give them a head start for the spring season.
Treatment # 7


This treatment involves the use of a product called VAPORGARD to help sensitive, broad-leaf evergreens such as rhododendrons, box-woods & hollies to retain moisture throughout the winter months.


NOTE: 1.) Oil may be used throughout the season to help control eggs and mites. 2.) Borers are treated on an as needed basis and an extra charge will apply.
